It’s all about the empties this week! As we all know, the best products are the ones you use up to the very last drop and then repurchase time and time again. To me, that’s a great sign that I have liked using the product and it has also been good for my skin. So, without further ado, here are some of my empties that I am definitely going to buy again! Starting with my Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm.

I first came upon this skincare range when Caroline Hirons spoke about it in one of her videos before Christmas. After buying it online, trying it, and loving it, I just had to get in touch with Maleka Dutta the creator of Merumaya. She was so generous with her time and we had a great chat about all things skincare. She has been in the beauty industry for many years and was part of a team that grew Clinique to the number one position in the UK. She also established and developed Origins, and when she was with Lancôme, she was credited for the most successful skincare launch (Genefique), in the UK’s recorded history. She launched Merumaya in 2012 and it is without a doubt a wonderful range that I think more people need to know about and try. Anyway, getting back to the cleanser! I use this every evening for my first cleanse and in a nutshell, it literally melts away your makeup, grime, oil, SPF, and pollution.

Full of sweet almond oil (moisturizing) and mangosteen (anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antioxidant), the cleansing balm leaves your skin feeling not only clean but also soft and supple. It also contains echium oil, high in omegas 3, 6, and 9, which helps reduce lines and improves elasticity. I massage into dry skin, the balm melts on my face and my makeup just lifts away with a hot flannel, leaving my skin feeling really clean and ready for my second cleanse. Suitable for all skin types, and all ages, and brilliant for sensitive & problem skin. If you’re not familiar with this range then make sure to get yourself up to speed! I order mine online here.

Next up is NYK1 Lash Serum. Generally, I have always been a bit dubious about lash/brow serums but after reading reviews on this and not wanting to go down the eyelash extension route I thought I’d give it a go. Well, stop the lights, what a difference this serum has made! I can honestly say my lashes look so much fuller and longer. This is a little gem and can also be used on your eyebrows. Double whammy. I know there are other lash serums out there, but I found them expensive. This works out to around €50, it lasted me 4 months and I was using it am and pm every day. If you’re looking to boost your lashes, try it, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I ordered mine from amazon on this link.

Last but by no means least is my love affair with Trinny London BFF cream. In a word, well two! Game changer. I purchased it before Christmas and just re-ordered it at the end of March, so I got three months from my tube, using it every day. Trinny London is only available online. My shade is light. There are four versatile shades that cover the full spectrum of skin tones.

You can wear it alone as I do most days, or beneath the foundation. I use the Trinny London “Just A Touch” foundation to give a little extra coverage on the days I need it. There are many BB, CC creams, and primers out there. I just happen to like using this one. It suits my skin and gives me that radiant glow without looking all sparkly and with SPF 30, it protects from UV and pollution. Win-Win! There have been some stock issues but there is more on the way, so if you do try to buy, don’t panic. You can add your email and you will be notified when it’s back in stock.

So that rounds up the empties for now. As you know I am like a magpie when it comes to skincare and beauty products, I love trying everything out and seeing what works and what doesn’t. At any stage, if you have any questions regarding any of the products I’m using, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me.
